Newspaper Stars

The kids were in the local paper yesterday. How fun is that?
We have been going to the storyteller in the park and the storytime at the library each week.

Goofy Hat Dance

Five-year-old Kaylie Brown, left, passes a silly hat around a circle of children while doing the Goofy Hat Dance with James Brown, 2, Travis S., 9, Casey S., 7 Lucas S., 3, and Caroline L. during the activity portion of Storyteller in the Park on Tuesday at Dwayne Webster Veterans Park. The storytellers are scheduled to appear today at 9:30 am at Seven Lakes Park and Westside Park at 11 am.

Swimming Lessons

We have been having a fun time doing swimming lessons while in Colorado. We'll put up more pictures and video later but this was each of their daring attempts at the diving board. They are taken from cell phones so enjoy the awesome quality!

Preschool Graduation

Isaiah / Fiel / Kaylie / Andrew

We had our preschool graduation on May 28th but I wanted to wait to get our awesome pictures back from Becky, one of the other moms (prof. photographer), to post about Kaylie's special day. We had to close out our crazy, but successful, year with a bang! The kids and the moms all made it through our co-op a little smarter. The kids will sure to be near the top of their class in some shape or form. Kaylie was able to develop great relationships with this great group of kids as well as their amazing mothers.

The kids had the chance to share some talents. Kaylie shared her love of art and...

sang "How Firm a Foundation" with her friend Fiel.

Ward Luau!

Our Ward luau this past weekend was a lot of fun. The kids practiced a few times during the month with "Auntie" (a sister in the ward). She and her husband are actually one of the couples in James' nursery and absolutely loves them. The kids love to call her auntie... Sister Faka'osita is just way too much for toddlers to handle. Anyway.... back to the luau.

They were so cute! We don't have real video camera, we just use the video function on our little point and shoot camera. Hope you enjoy. James is hard to see most of the time. At the beginning of the dance he runs up to get a drink and then returns to finish his dance.

Another couple in our ward are part of an amazing dancing family. The Ahuna O'hana performed dances from various Polynesian islands as well as some Native American dances.
They were fantastic. The night ended with the men in the family doing fire knife dancing.
