She Might Even be a Rock Star!

Kaylie chose to have a Hannah Montana party this year. I put the pictures in backwards so we'll work from end to beginning. It was all really fun and exhausting.

She was spoiled rotten by her sweet friends. She received several awesome gifts... if you couldn't tell by her crazed look!

Miss Shellie, of course, did these fabulous pop star cakes!

Make a wish!

After our craft was completed we put them to use and jammed out to who else??
Hannah Montana
The girls cracked me up with this. Especially Molly she had no qualms telling me when there was activity she was not doing... to each their own.

Ugh.. I can't get the video to load. I will keep trying.

Our Craft was so awesome. We painted 1" dowels black and attached a silver styrofoam ball to the top. Wah la! A microphone! The girls then added bling to them. The girls LOVED this.

We learned the "Boom D Clap" song from the Hannah Montana Movie.
I found a really cute online tutorial. The girls tried really hard.

As the girls came into the party they each had a make up bag (from the $1 store) and got to do their make up another big hit with the girls! As they finished they played our Hannah Montana "guitar hero" game that plugs into the tv.

Upon entering the party they also received a personalized backstage pass that
gave them access to all areas of the party!

Kaylie turns 6

Another year older and wiser too
she is growing so fast I don't know what to do!

Kaylie's birthday was on Thursday. She took some pop star cupcakes made by her mother who does NOT bake. We decorated them with white frosting and rainbow colored, star shaped sprinkles. You would think that me baking would be a good reason to take a photo, but I didn't...dang.

That night we reserved the "party room" at Red Robin and had dinner with Grandma Jo and Eric. Kaylie has been waiting for her sixth birthday since just before her 4th birthday. That's a weird thing for a 4 year old to wish for you might say. Well it is but there is logic behind it. Her uncle Eric left on his mission to Greece just weeks before she turned 4. She has talked about and reminded him that he would be home in time for her 6th birthday, which came faster than I could have imagined.

Anyway we had a yummy dinner. Kaylie opened her gifts from Grandma and Mom & Dad and her brother and sister. She opened gifts from Oma and Maja & Faja earlier in the week.

We weren't expert picture takers (we forgot the camera) so the iphone and dim lighting is all we got.

Look at that chocolate yumminess! It was massive. It took the whole family to eat it.
