Our little girl takes another step in growing up. She has been so ready for kindergarten for so long. She headed off to a full day kindergarten program of fun and learning. She was up at the crack of dawn and got ready for school like a pro. I am sure that will fade quickly but for now I'll take it. She seems to feel complete for the time being. She has always been one to want to learn more, do more, see more. I am personally excited about her teacher. Who is a seasoned pro and has produced amazing children of her own. I feel blessed to have my daughter learn at her feet.

A shot through the window. Mom and Dad's don't go passed the door.
She was a little nervous but too excited to miss out.

When asked what she did today: "I helped two people who were crying because they missed their mom. I helped one girl two times."
When asked what her favorite part of the day was: "Lunch and recess! I got 3 recesses!"
I was intrigued with her answers. The question what did you do today didn't elicit the detailed description of some project or activity, which is common. She thought about who she could serve. I don't mean to brag. I just wanted to document memories I had of her first day of school. Her second answer was funny to me, because although she is beyond her years in so many ways... lunch and recess will always be the funnest part of school.

Cant't believe Kalie is old enough to start school. Boy, they grow up fast!!! I'm sure she will love it and do well.
It still blows me away that Kaylie is in Kindergarten. 2 big events in one month...she's on a roll! That sounds just like her to be caring and worry about the other people in her class. You guys have done a great job teaching her!
What a lovely little lady you are raising!
I can't believe our little mouse is already in Kindergarten. Before we know it she will be off to college. Oh, Kaylie please don't grow up to fast! Thank you for being the sweet little girl that you are.
Awesome. :)
She looks so cute all dressed up for school. I love how she is so eager to learn.
