Day One: Ryan and I flew in late to Orlando and stayed the night (Marriott beds make me so happy)
Day Two: Bright and early we drove up to Gainesville. Had a quick hello with Jessica and then met up with the realtor. We saw somewhere close to 20 houses! We took a short lunch break in there. (Had some yummy french fries with some super delish dip) After we were done for the day we were left with two or three top choices and one house that we couldn't get into that day. I was more than spent and wanted a mom to take care of me... yeah, I know I am a pansy. So we drove up to Georgia to stay the night at Ryan's parents house. Grandma and Grandpa Bradshaw were there too, which made it even more comforting. It was weird to be with them all in Brunswick, GA. I think the weirdest part about the whole trip was seeing so many people I knew in places I had never been.
Day Three: We had a great homemade breakfast with everyone. We toured the area that Ryan's mom lives in and then went out to Jekyll island to have a cookout with Ron's parents. I have finally had some shrimp that can compare with Nate's cocoanut shrimp... although, if we take the fresh shrimp and Nate's recipe I might die! Ryan and I left Brunswick feeling like we had talked over many of the pros and cons with his parents and grandparents and ready to head back to the reality that we needed to find a place to live.
Day Four: We went to church first thing in the morning. The ward was only a bit different from our student ward now! Sacrament meeting was just as loud. The ward had a ton of residents which is sure to be a blast. After church we headed back out with our realtor to check out the last house which ended up not making the short list. We made up some contracts to feel out the sellers on our top two houses. The day ended with some other Utah friends coming over to the Simmons and having some homemade funnel cakes! I guess I have to learn how to fry food!
Day Five: We did a bit more business end of things with the realtor and then went out and toured Gainesville a bit more. Ryan and I then made our way down to Orlando and stopped at the Temple. We talked with my mom and did some more praying about finding a place to live. After that we let it all go and spent our last night away trying to get some rest and relaxation.
Day Six was an early morning flight home. We were so excited to see the kids and two out of the three of them missed us. (Kaylie never misses us)
So, where does that leave us? We should be under contract on this cute house in the morning.
Kaylie hates that it's green. I love that its green!
I think one of the biggest concessions was that its only 3 bedrooms
but it's still like 700 more square feet then we have now
plus a big garage, screened lanai, and a yard.
I was hoping to be in a different subdivision but I am going to let that go now.
Time to choose my love and love my choice.
