On with the story of my 3 year old daughter's lip piercing. I was just finishing dinner, which is the first of what I would constitute as a "real" dinner in days. James was in Kaylie's booster seat and Kaylie was trying to sit on the same chair. I turned around just in time to see Kaylie fall off the chair. Initially I thought she bumped an elbow or knee, until dark red blood came seeping out of her top lip. I had no idea a fork was involved and immediately thought her teeth had come through her lip. The story gets a little muddled here because she starts screaming and I start panicking... I was hungry. Through the drama I learn that a fork went through her lip. Ryan and I then have to determine if we are heading over to Primary Children's or not. Once the bleeding stopped we decided that it was way too small to do stitches and so we cleaned it, and medicated it. I now get to do all I can to try and prevent scarring on my sweet girl's face.

Wow, that sounds like a big event. I am glad you did not have to make a trip to the hospital.
Oh no! Thankfully it didn't go into her eye - and no stitches necessary. You've had a rough week. I should have had you come with me to the metal place instead of going home to cook dinner.
oh man, that's so scarey! she's so cute. It's sad to see your kid get hurt.. it's the worst. We're glad she's ok!
Oh poor Kaylie. That is so sad. I hope she is doing better. :0
