Kaylie and James went out to Colorado to my parents house for Camp Waja Waja.
While they were out there Kaylie tried out for a part in a play. Each summer The Missoula Children's Theatre comes through Loveland. My younger siblings have many fun memories of being in these plays. This was the first year Kaylie was old enough to try out... and she made it!

The play was a cute spoof on Beauty & The Beast. This version was set in some cowboy town on a farm. The youngest children are often cast as animals or vegetation. They have a musical number or two and a couple of small speaking parts. In this particular play the kids were cast as farm animals, Kaylie played one of two roosters. She practiced during the week and then on friday they did two shows. She loved it so much. Ryan and I (and Lydia) drove out Thursday to come to her shows. Friday night and for a few days following she was quite emotional with everything she had put into it and it was now over.... kind of like what usually happens after her birthday.
