I hate february. No really I loathe February! I have a hard time staying mentally stable. I am totally over the snow. The grey sky makes feel like I live in the snow globe from hell. All of us... meaning moms with children somehow get holed up in our little apartments and turn into pasty hermits. Seriously we need to just skip to March!
This february was kicked off by weening Lydia. I hate weening my babies. Breaking that emotional tie with my babies just rips my heart out. Knowing that Lyida is the baby of the family and that I will never nurse a baby again was so so hard. Then my hormones have to readjust... as if I need help being crazy in February!
The whole reason for weening Lydia when we did was so that I could get my tonsils out. I was going to have to be on narcotics and I didn't want to stress about nursing or not nursing. Ryan took her up to the house in Farmington and spent the weekend with her. They had some real father daughter bonding time.
Let's just say that was worst thing ever! There isn't even words to describe it! The pain, the drugs (narcotics just make me sick), and no food for like 10 days... at least not life sustaining food.
I had great help from both of my sisters, and the ladies in the ward... and my husband didn't do half bad either =)
Good Bye February.... Hello March!

Oh man....my mom had her tonsills removed when she was in her early 30's. She said it was awful--just like you described! She said the hysterectomy she had twenty years later was MUCH easier. Good luck! And I hate February too. I also hate snowstorms in March so hopefully we won't get too many of those.
Love the blossom...eternal hope that spring will arrive!
I had my tonsils removed 2 or 3 weeks before my wedding. It was the worst thing ever. I agree...they say it's much much harder for adults to bounce back then it is kids. You should make a trip down here every Feb..and stay with us. I hate Feb as well and it is even my birthday month:) Hope all is well.
I have a tough time with January and February....so glad to see you made it through! Spring is just around the corner!
