which is only killing the bacteria but when the fluid is still there it is only a matter of days or weeks before it is infected again. The procedure is set for next Wednesday, March 5, at Primary Children's Hospital. Its quick and simple but I'm still antsy to get it over with. Not looking forward however to doing ear plugs with a 2 year old!

...and the results are in!
Today was James 1st of 2 doctor appointments this week. Today was Dr. David Hill the ENT. We were referred by our pediatrician for a consult. Before I get to the point of the entry I want to just say that having a primary care physician that you click with, see eye to eye, trust is great. I honestly think you feel healthier just knowing that you have physician that cares about you! Secondly if you do have to go to a specialist for something it pays to ask for a recommendation from your primary care doc and why he/she we recommend that particular physician (i.e. would it be who they would go see or have seen or would have their children see). We were extremely pleased with Dr. Hill. So now to the point James is a go for tubes. Basically his ears are not draining. He has been on and off antibiotic for 4 months

Dr. Hill is our ENT and also our pediatrician's. I couldn't agree with you more about your opinions on doctors and specialists. James is in the same boat Owen was in last year. We had an infection-free summer following the tubes. Good luck! You are a trooper (no one completely understands or appreciates how little sleep mom's get when their child has ear infections). My thoughts are with you.
I went to Dr. Hill when I was a kid, he took my adenoids out! He was a great doctor, and it's good to know he's still around if my kids need to see an ENT. I think it was about 13 years ago when I was his patient.
That's great that you have doctor that you trust and like. I think we are so blessed to live next to great physicians and hospitals. Primary Children's is an amazing, wonderful hospital. I will pray for you all!
We are so happy to hear that james' ears will be as good as new soon. I know it's been tough, but soon you will have the best sleep of your life right?!.. if it makes you feel any better, Nixon still wakes up a few times during the night and i have never had a full nights sleep since the day he was born. That means I haven't had a full night's sleep in over 14 and a half months. How do mom's function? It has got to do with the way god created us.
