Appointment #2

Today was the allergist appointment. This visit had no great surprises. James is allergic to Milk products, which we have suspected for about nine months. It seems to be pretty much isolated to milk products which is great. Another plus is that when the milk products are baked such as cakes, crackers, and other yummy foods, that he is fine. This is good news on two levels, one he can eat the food, and two it can help his body to learn to tolerate the milk products which means that there is a chance that he will out grow this allergy. Yay! It really isn't that big of deal until then, James likes soy milk and yogurt. The cheese on the other hand (at least that we have tried so far) is absolutely nasty. It's when we have ice cream that I feel sad for him. We get some Hagen Das Sorbet and he is usually satisfied with that. It isn't a horrible alternative if I do say so myself!

Hi, I am an old friend of Ryan's and came across your blog. It is great to see how cute your kids are, and that life has been going well for all of you!

Hey!
Lexi was allergic to milk too and we got her better by having milk delivered. Something about the farm-fresh local stuff not having any additives or hormones makes it easier to digest. She does wonderful now and doesn't have any problems. She doesn't really like to drink it, but can have it on her cereal and as chocolate milk without any worries.
Good Luck!
